In what can be compared to the work Microsoft is doing with Surface devices, ASUS was demonstrating a mock up of a tabletop system that the company envisions the direction of technology and ubiquitous communication between cell phones, notebooks, cameras and even your dinner plate!
In the video below we see a host of interesting POTENTIAL applications for this type of technology; though it is important to note that none of the communication is actually happening at this time. It's merely a simulation using projectors and image recognition with stickers on the bottom of each device.
