One question, the frame
One question, the frame pacing works for older cards? like a 5970?
would be interesting to compare with old cards from NV (like fermi) because both use pure software frame pacing?
It works for all
It works for all previous-generation cards in the support list. So yes, a HD5970 would benefit from running this.
So typical of AMD there is no
So typical of AMD there is no support for Vista in this version (13.8 Beta) so the last driver i can use is 13.4 WHQL as 13.5 13.6 and 13.8 Betas don’t work even on a clean install of Vista yet i can install the 13.8 Linux Beta and run that it may give me better results with my 6950
Vista? You’re still running
Vista? You’re still running Vista? You’re complaining about OS support in a beta driver for an OS that’s still getting no love? Just upgrade to Windows 7, then you won’t have to be left out.
You’re and
You’re and idiot.

Choose your flavour (windows 7 and vista is one package, choose whether 64bit or 32bit) download the beta – 3.8 – and custom install.
If its not working, uninstall your existing driver, and use the driver cleanup utility from AMD.
It’s not rocket science… but then again, you probably don’t have many brain cells to begin with.
There’s no inf for Vista
There’s no inf for Vista installation in these beta drivers. It’s not rocket science you idiot. No amount of driver cleanup is gonna make them install. lol
So then why did I just
So then why did I just install them on a friends older pc… that’s running a 5950 and vista?
Unfortunately, I can not
Unfortunately, I can not install drivers higher than version 13.4
in Vista 64 …. there is no cleaning maid is now more than a month that I feel no results.
Obviously something is missing to view in the driver packages …..
You do not know how I managed to install them in an old PC of friends ….

I think you are mistaken because the utility the driver cleanup utility from AMD
it is only for windows 7 ….. he just said for Vista drivers and you should also a free utility that does not work is Windows Vista …… But …..

Ryan –
You should feel proud
Ryan –
You should feel proud and redeemed. This is the work of PCPer, specifically you. Though AMD may be bitter, this will only help them improve.
On a side note, I find it interesting how many people have commented, ‘WOW! What a difference!’ Though I’m sure there’s a difference, I can’t believe it is THAT dramatic. Otherwise, people using Crossfire before would have been complaining vociferously all along.
Your eyes work in mysterious
Your eyes work in mysterious ways. Just like how you can read a sentence with mistakes and missing letters and fill in the blanks, your brain is a lot smarter/dumber then you give it credit for. It fills in the holes and makes certain things appear better.
That being said, it is a noticeable difference. A BIG one when you consider a massive layer of lag has been removed at the heart of crossfire.
I still want DX9 support, but for the time being, single mode for those games.
