Revisiting an old favourite, Corsair's H60 is still going strong

It is somewhat surprising to realize that the Corsair H60 has not been updated since 2013 and even more surprising that it remains relevant even after what equates to a huge slice of time in the component industry.  It retails for $60 and is compatible with every modern AMD and Intel socket and thanks to its compact design it can fit in smaller systems that the competitions larger coolers cannot.  The H60 now falls towards the middle of [H]ard|OCP's performance charts with larger coolers providing a better result but only in systems which they can fit into and also commanding a much higher price than the H60. It may no longer be at the top of the cooler rankings but when you look at the price to performance and flexibility the H60 remains a viable choice for those shopping for an aftermarket cooler.

"Today we are re-reviewing an older All-in-One CPU from Corsair that is surely a stalwart in the CPU cooling industry. The H60 AIO CPU cooler is a cost effective choice for those enthusiasts looking for a good solution at a good price. The redesigned H60 has been in the market place for 2 years now, which is saying something if it is still competitive."

Corsair's H60, an easy to install self contained liquid cooling apparatus

Subject: Cases and Cooling | May 30, 2011 - 03:19 PM |

The model numbers that Corsair is using for their self contained liquid cooling devices is a little confusing.  With the H50 and H70 already on the market, one would be forgiven for thinking that the new H60 should perform in between the two existing models.   That is not necessarily true as the H60 is more of a redesign of the lineup.  The installation process has been simplified with a square waterblock to fit your square CPU and they've changed the mounting bracket as well.  The cooling performance is exactly like the H50; it is the acoustic performance that has been improved as this cooler is much quieter than either of the other models.   Head on over to [H]ard|OCP to see their final verdict on this cooler.

No word on if it will blend yet.

"Corsair's H60 liquid CPU cooler comes to us with different technology than we saw with its H50 and H70 as Corsair has switched up supply sources. Corsair is touting a micro-channel cold plates and a split-flow designed manifolds. But, will it blend?"

PCPer v4.0 Giveaway: A Pair of Corsair Hydro H60 Water Coolers!

Subject: General Tech | April 19, 2011 - 02:50 PM |
Tagged: hydro, h60, giveaway, corsair, contest

As you can no doubt tell, PC Perspective got a HUGE and much needed facelift over the weekend to what we are internally calling "PC Perspective v4.0".  I know there are still some kinks to work out and we are actively addressing any feedback from our readers in this comment thread.

But we want to celebrate the launch of the new site in style!!  Some of our site sponsors have very generously offered up some prizes for us to give out throughout the coming days...

The second prize is in fact PRIZES since Corsair is going to be handing out a Hydro H60 CPU water cooler to TWO lucky PC Perspective readers!

corsairh60.png

What do you have to do to win this wonderful piece of hardware?

Couldn't be easier: post a comment in this post thanking Corsair for its sponsorship of PC Perspective and maybe include a thought or two on the new site design (compliments, constructive criticism, hate filled monologues, whatever).  You should probably have a registered account or at least be sure you include your email address in the appropriate field so we can contact you!

We will pick the winners tomorrow and move on to the next hardware that finds its way to PC Perspective offices.  Good luck and thanks for reading!!
