Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN has the link you want to click on to apply for a role in the beta testing of Elder Scrolls Online, taking the world of Tamriel onto the web. There are a limited amount of spaces so as it says on the application page, make sure to fill out everything you can as it could help your chances of being picked. As for the release date Bethesda is still claiming we will see it sometime in 2013 but are not being more specific than that. You can also catch a new trailer at RPS on the same page as the application link.
"SWTOR got it wrong – oh so very wrong – but here we are once again, looking at a mega-bucks MMO that could make World of Warcraft wriggle around uncomfortably, like it’s wearing underwear a size too small. Like it or not, Skyrim is a game which crossed to The Other Side, that strange and terrifying world of people who play games but don’t follow gaming. Y’know, Normals. As such, Bethesda’s upcoming massively multiplayer monster-stabber The Elder Scrolls Online has at least a chance at a very big audience, not purely the MMO-educated. We shall see!"

E3 12: More Elder Scrolls -- Skyrim Expansion, Dawnguard

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is getting an expansion pack known as “Dawnguard”. The expansion explores vampirism and to a lesser extent, lycanthropy. Extra content includes new quests related to those vile blood-suckers as well as new abilities and two new skill trees.
Todd Howard spoke at DICE conference and played a video of his team’s GameJam: one week of passion projects.
The Skyrim GameJam sizzle video highlighted several of those projects with many already included in recent patches. A fairly decent period of the video was focused on Vampirism and Lycanthropy and forms the basis of the newly announced Skyrim: Dawnguard expansion pack.
G4 has forwarded some further details from Bethesda as a part of their E3 coverage.
Hopefully the Werebear has also made the cut.
This DLC seems to be a homecoming of the typical expansion packs that we PC gamers remember.
The extra campaign appears to be fairly lengthy for an update with a decently engrossing story. The trailer suggests that you will have a different series of quests depending on whether you support the vampire cult or wish to destroy it. In addition we will also receive two separate skill trees: vampirism will be advanced by feeding on the living and lycanthropy will be advanced by feeding on the dead.
The expansion will launch on (editor's note: Forgot to write the 360 release date) June 26th for the Xbox 360 first with the PS3 and PC to follow at an unspecified date. There is no mention of price. (editor's note: Apparently it'll be ~$20 and was briefly mentioned in the video I linked -- must have missed it.)
E3 12: Elder Scrolls Online gets more than a useless teaser.

Zenimax has launched a new teaser trailer for their upcoming Elder Scrolls Online. You will not see any in-game footage nor will you see any information in the trailer. To learn more about the game, you will need to be satisfied with testimonials -- which thankfully exist, at least.
So the “big MMO” space will likely be a three-way clash between EA, Activision/Blizzard, and now Bethesda.
I would expect that The Elder Scrolls franchise would be one of the strongest contenders against Warcraft and Star Wars. According to PC Gamer, The MMO will span the whole of Tamriel which is a departure from earlier installments which mostly flesh out a single area. The world will graphically not keep up with Skyrim yet will keep up with modern MMOs.
And EVE Online for the rest…
Three factions will be available for the player to choose from: The Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant, and the Ebonheart Pact with the Bird, Lion, and Dragon emblems respectively. PVP between these three factions will be constrained to Cyrodiil which you may remember from Oblivion. Imagine catapults versus a castle sieging into the fortress and you would be imagining what some witnesses have described.
G4 has their hands on a few (older) screenshots which show the -- yes, third person -- gameplay of the MMO.
Oh look, a Venus fly trap.
Game Informer has quite a wealth of information about the two provinces controlled by the Daggerfall Covenant: High Rock and Hammerfell. Maps of both are present and dotted with allegedly present cities full of quests and attractions. This will be your home if you choose either Breton, Orc, or Redguard as your player race.
Game Informer also promises a feature on the Aldmeri Dominion tomorrow.
Thank you Bethesda; how about some attributions Steam?

Attention (PC) Skyrim fans, Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN has some great news!
High Definition Textures have arrived for Skyrim via Steam. The download is just over 3GB and contains .BSP files which is the file type Bethesda in general and Skyrim in particular store their textures. This is rather handy as two mods which already add high definition textures do so via a new folder called Textures under your Skyrim folder. This means that the mods do not interfere with the official HD download as far as crashing the game, however more investigation is needed to discover how the mods interact as far as texture rendering priorities as well as determining which gives you the best looking textures.
Just download it via Steam and ensure that you enable it via the Data Files option on your Skyrim launcher. While you are clicking on that download you might notice a link to something called Steam Workshop. This leads you to a section of Steam where you can download mods for Skyrim via Steam which can be applied to your game though it does not necessarily replace Nexus Mod Manager. When you have clicked on the mod then the next time you launch Skyrim it will run a check and synchronize your game and the mod. The mods can be enabled and disabled just like the HD textures via the Data Files portion of your Skyrim launcher.
The addition of official HD textures and supported mods is a brilliant move by Bethesda and Steam and the PC gaming community wholeheartedly thanks them for this wonderful addition to the game. Many PC users initial experience with Skyrim was not positive, especially those using AMD graphics cards. The patches to Skyrim and AMD's drivers have finally fixed most performance issues users experienced and with the addition of PC specific improvements and mods Bethesda may have gone a long way to wooing back those users who were initially unimpressed with the game.
Along with these additions does come a plea to Steam. You may notice negative comments underneath the mods which you choose, such as "It should say "Stolen by: Manic Zombie" The uploader gave no credit to the author of this.". This is very unfortunate for the brilliant mind that decided to model mudcrabs with a monocle and top hat as the number of users of this mod will soar but the modder themselves are doomed to obscurity. It could be that Manic Zombie was indeed the original modder as the Japanese site links to a download on Skyrim Nexus that he posted. If Steam is going to offer mods the modding community would greatly appreciate it if Steam researched the mod to ensure that the submitter is indeed the actual source of the mod or at least has the modders permissions. The "Report" button is a great start but in order to help attract game modders to Steam, reassurance that they will get recognition for their mods would go a long way to bringing even more modders into the fold.
"The long-awaited Skyrim Creation Kit is out, and it’s come with the rumoured High-Resolution Texture Pack all the kids wanted! The game’s also 33% off on Steam in the US and UK at the moment, if this is what you were waiting for."

For those anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next instalment of the Elder Scrolls, Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN has something you might want to see. Not one, not two, but three whole previews of the game as one of their lucky reviewers plays through a few hours of the game. This latest instalment features our hapless previewer sneaking around in a cave full of bandits in the hopes of determining if that object he saw in the corner of the cave was indeed an anvil. Did he succeed? Read on to find out.
"Last week, I played three hours of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, at my leisure and free to go and do whatever I could. I’m telling a series of anecdotes based on what I saw and did; here’s the first, here is the second and below is the cowardly third."
