Cooler Master's Storm series of headsets have only been around for a few short years but in that time they have greatly expanded their product lineup. Hi Tech Legion is talking a look at at few of the current models, including the $40 Ceres 400, the $70 Storm Sonuz and the $88 Storm Sirus 5.1. Each headset has its own characteristics, with different sized drivers, impedance and sensitivities in each of the models which is good for those who know what they are looking for, from the surround of the Sirius to the large bass loving drivers of the Sonuz. True 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset

Cooler Master is a household name in the PC case world, and an established player in the cooling industry. Not content with those two areas, Cooler Master has expanded into power supplies, keyboards, mousepads, and a plethora of other accessories where they apparently make a tidy bundle. Coolermaster is now moving into a new area; gaming audio. Under the “CM Storm” brand, Coolermaster is releasing its own set of cans.

We were sent a production quality sample, but it did not come in the retail box that is availble now.

Cooler Master is hoping to deliver a profound audio experience to users with their CM Storm Sirus (not Sirius mind) True 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headphones. The design and packaging certainly look impressive, but what counts in the end is the sound emanating from these products.

CoolerMaster's Storm Sentinel Z3RO-G mouse

CoolerMaster is really going all out in the peripheral market as you can see from their latest gaming mouse, the Sentinel Z3RO-G. The 5600DPI Storm Tactical Twin-Laser Sensor is standard issue in the Storm series, 128kb of onboard memory gives you multiple profiles for the 8 buttons and it even features something called Rapid Fire Tactical Mode which will probably be handy when Diablo 3 comes out. The unique feature on this mouse is an LED screen which displays your current sensitivity settings which eTechnix really fell in love with.

Just like CM Storm’s other products the Z3RO-G is aimed at the gaming market, and showcases many of the company’s famous features.
