Introduction and FeaturesProlimatech throws Megahalem into high performance cooling ring
We've evaluated numerous CPU coolers from a variety of established vendors that include the likes of Zalman, CoolerMaster, and Thermalright. But, today we are treading off the beaten path a bit to review a CPU cooler from a relatively unknown company called Prolimatech. This Taiwan-based outfit was founded in 2008 and their one and only CPU cooler currently in production that supports Intel's LGA 1366 socket is dubbed the Megahalem.
It's design doesn't look too unique from many other U-shaped heatsinks on the market currently, but other PC enthusiasts have had only rave reviews about the Megahalem's performance and overall construction. We are going to torture the Megahalem against some of the best air coolers in our test lab to see if it can knock off popular heatsinks from Zalman and others.
