World in Conflict

World in Conflict (DirectX 10)

An incredibly detailed RTS game, World in Conflict allows you to look at your troops from a bird's eye view as well as zooming to street level to get hands on with the combat.  As you get closer, the game only looks better, as the scaling detail is incredible making this title an easy pick for DX10 benchmarking.

World in Conflict Test Settings

The single card tests do show a very slight improvement with the 7.10 Catalyst drivers, though you'd be hard pressed to tell in-game.  The minimum frame rate jumps from 3 to 6, a 100% improvement while the average goes from 13 to 15 FPS - a difference of 15% if you want to get right down to it.

CrossFire performance does get a big boost here with the 7.10 drivers versus the 7.9 drivers, but that doesn't get the AMD HD 2900 XT any closer to performing like the 8800 cards.  An increase of 93% or so on the CF results is nice, but really we need a bigger boost than that to recommend playing World in Conflict on these cards.
