Features and Specifications

SilverStone Technology is based in Taiwan with a sales office in California.  They specialize in designing low acoustic and high performance mid-tower and HTPC enclosures, power supplies and other accessories for the PC enthusiast market.  SilverStone offers one of the largest selections of high-end HTPC enclosures available today and the new CW01 is the first entry in their new Crown Series of multimedia server cases.

The CW01 enclosure uses the same chassis layout as SilverStone’s top of the line LC18 HTPC case without the integrated LCD touch screen display.  The CW01 exhibits clean, simple styling with straight lines and gold accents that is sure to blend in perfectly with other high-end AV gear.  The CW01 can even be rack mounted using the optional RA01 bracket and handle kit.

  

SilverStone’s CW01 is available in three different styles.  The standard CW01 is available with either a natural aluminum silver or black finish and a special edition CW01-WD version is available (in black only), which features a front panel window for displaying the inner workings of a Raptor X hard drive from Western Digital.

The CW01 features excellent ventilation and comes with two, quiet 80mm rear exhaust fans with provisions for adding two more intake fans under the internal HDD cage.  The chassis can accommodate either a full size or micro ATX motherboard and a full size ATX power supply.  In addition to three exposed drive bays, the CW01 can hold up to five 3.5” HDDs.  Now that should allow for several terabytes of storage space… :)
