The PC Perspective Podcast is your weekly stop for the latest PC tech news and reviews! Give it a listen!
IntroductionKoolance is a well-known name in the PC water-cooling community, thanks in part to their popular Exos line of external liquid cooling systems that are professionally designed and built to meet consumer’s needs. The new Exos-2 promises increased performance, advanced features and modern styling in a self-contained, external chassis.
The Exos-2 is available in either silver aluminum or black and is designed to sit on top of a standard ATX-style case. Housed inside the aluminum enclosure are: a large radiator, dual 120mm fans, a clear plastic reservoir, dual pumps, controller, and a temperature display panel. Koolance also offers a large variety of coolers for all major hardware devices (CPU, GPU, Chipset, and HDD) but none come bundled with the Exos-2; they must be purchased separately. However, for this review, the good folks at Koolance sent along two of their most popular coolers, a CPU-300-V10 and a GPU-180-L06… :)
Main Features:
The Exos-2 is the most powerful liquid cooling system ever produced by Koolance. Compared to the original Exos, the new Exos-2 incorporates a larger radiator, two 120mm fans (instead of three 80mm fans), and higher flow dual pumps. The following graph (from the Koolance website) shows the relative performance between the various Koolance liquid cooling systems.
