Introduction

Cooler Master has released a new line of water-cooling kits that are designed for high performance and ease of installation.  The Aquagate Mini is available in two versions: the R80, which includes a radiator designed for a 80mm case fan opening and the larger R120, which is designed for a 120mm fan opening.  The Aquagate Mini comes pre-assembled and includes the waterblock with integrated DC pump, a radiator, and a fan. The waterblock’s universal mount supports Intel P4 (LGA775, socket 478), Intel Xeon (socket 603/604), AMD K7 (socket 462) and K8 (socket 754/939/940) platforms.

One of the Aquagate Mini’s best features is ease of use.  The complete kit isn’t much more difficult to install than changing out the heatsink fan on the main processor and replacing a case fan.  The aluminum radiator is designed to mount in a rear case fan opening close to the CPU.  The system comes with hoses attached and is pre-filled with a water-based coolant.  And thanks to its compact design, the Aquagate Mini R80 may even be used in some SFF (Small Form Factor) cases.

Main Features:

  • Easy to install combination
  • High cooling performance
  • High reliability with minimal maintenance
  • 12 VDC operation (pump and fan)
  • Universal mount for all popular Intel and AMD platforms

The provided fan (80mm for R80 and 120mm for R120) includes a variable speed control so the end user can fine-tune the system for just the right balance of performance versus noise.

Here are the specifications for the Aquagate Mini waterblock, pump, radiator and fan (from the Cooler Master website).
