Surprisingly, the DFI SLI-DR motherboard does show a small gain in memory performance over the other SLI motherboards.  Since the memory controller is in the CPU, they have obviously done some tweaking in the BIOS to account for this.  We'll see how it reflects real world applications, if at all.
